My family has been in the Prescott area for four generations. In the 1950s, my grandfather purchased land East of Prescott in the pines of Groom Creek and built a home. My parents met while attending Northern Arizona University (NAU) and I was born. In the 1970s, my grandfather again purchased land in Prescott Valley and started a business “Burt’s Nursery. I worked there during the summers building greenhouses and learning about native plant species while watering plants, pulling weeds and piling rocks. I met my wife while attending NAU and started our family. In the 1990s, my parents retired from careers in education and moved to Groom Creek and built a home next to the family homestead. Both my sons met their wives while they attended NAU and then moved to Prescott. My eldest works at the hospital and recently opened a business in Prescott, “Tri-City Aesthetics & Wellness.” We are a family of hardworking, honest entrepreneurs who love each other and serve others. I earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Divinity. I have owned several businesses, including a contracting company, a home inspection business, a home remodel and a repair company (Handy Randy), and now I am a REALTOR with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate (BHGRE) – Bloomtree Realty. With a background of gardening and home improvement, Better Homes and Gardens has been a staple in my family's homes for over 70 years. I am a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and from them have earned the Graduate REALTOR Institute (GRI), Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES), Real Estate Negotiations Expert (RENE) designations and am currently working to complete the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) and Pricing Strategies Advisor (PSA) designations.
